About these terms

These terms are a contract between you and RDC PD LTD (company number 11633261, registered office as shown in our privacy policy) for the use of the KiBuxs software and website. By buying or installing KiBuxs you agree to them.

Your licence

When you buy KiBuxs, we give you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use it for your own business on computers you control.
A Founders lifetime licence is a one-off purchase made while KiBuxs is in Beta. It lets you use KiBuxs and receive updates for as long as we make KiBuxs available, with no yearly fee, including after version 1.0 is released. A Standard licence is a one-off purchase that includes 12 months of updates. After that you can pay a yearly fee for another 12 months of updates, which renews unless you cancel before the renewal date. If you don't renew, you can keep using the version you have, your data is never locked, and renewing later gives you the latest version.
Each licence comes with a licence key tied to one company's Companies House number. One key covers one company, and each extra company needs its own licence.
You may not resell, rent, copy for others, or reverse engineer KiBuxs except where the law allows it.
KiBuxs remains the property of RDC PD LTD. KiBuxs™ and the KiBuxs logo are trade marks of RDC PD LTD.

Beta software

KiBuxs is currently in Beta. It is still being developed and may contain errors. Keep regular backups, and check figures before you or your accountant file anything with HMRC or Companies House.

Not professional advice

KiBuxs helps you keep your books and prepare returns, and its calculations and guidance are there to help you. They are not legal, tax or accounting advice. You, as a director, remain responsible for your company's records, the accuracy of anything you file, and meeting filing and payment deadlines.

Your data

Your business data stays on your computer and belongs to you. You are responsible for keeping your password, recovery key and backups safe. We can't recover your books if you lose both your password and your recovery key. See our privacy policy.

Third-party services

KiBuxs prepares returns and accounts for you or your accountant to file with HMRC and Companies House. It doesn't file them for you. The optional Companies House lookup and those services have their own terms, and we're not responsible for their availability or for charges they make.

Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or penalties and interest charged by HMRC or Companies House, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for KiBuxs in the 12 months before the claim.

If you buy KiBuxs as a consumer, you also have statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, and nothing in these terms affects them.

Ending the licence

You can stop using KiBuxs at any time. We may end your licence if you seriously break these terms. Your data stays on your computer either way.

Changes and law

We may update these terms and will tell licence holders about significant changes. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
